Capture Trichoscopy Images

Capture high-magnification scalp images from mandatory and optional positions for detailed AI analysis of hair count, density, and thickness.

Prerequisites

  • You have an open session in DRAFT status.
  • A trichoscope device is connected.

Steps

  1. Open the DRAFT session for the patient.
  2. Go to the Trichoscopy Images section.
  3. Select a head diagram — one of four views: FRONT, LEFT, RIGHT, BACK.
  4. Place a positional point on the diagram to mark where you are capturing.
  5. Capture the trichoscopy image.
  6. Repeat for all mandatory positions (minimum 6 required):
    • P1 — Frontal
    • P2 — Left Temporal
    • P3 — Right Temporal
    • P4 — Top of the Head
    • P5 — Crown
    • P6 — Occipital
  7. Capture additional images from other positions as needed.

Important Notes

  • 6 mandatory positions are required before the session can be saved. All six (P1–P6) must have at least one image.
  • Additional images are allowed beyond the 6 mandatory positions — capture as many as clinically relevant.
  • Each image stores the (x, y) coordinates of the positional point you placed on the head diagram.
  • The positional point is included in the generated report for reference.
  • Once the session is saved, images are locked — no more can be added or replaced.
