Configure Qualified Staff for a Service

Assign staff members who are qualified to provide a specific service. This is required before the service can be booked as an appointment.

Prerequisites

  • You have catalog.edit permission assigned to your staff role.
  • The service item already exists in your catalog (type: SERVICE).
  • The staff members you want to assign are active in your clinic.

Steps

  1. Navigate to Catalog from the main menu.
  2. Select the SERVICE item you want to configure.
  3. Go to the Qualified Staff section.
  4. Click Add Staff Member and select the staff members who are qualified to provide this service.
  5. Repeat for each staff member you want to assign.
  6. Click Save.

Notes

  • At least one qualified staff member is required before the service can be booked as an appointment. Without qualified staff, the scheduling engine cannot assign the service.
  • You can add or remove staff members from the qualified list at any time. Changes apply to all future appointment assignments — existing appointments are not affected.
  • Staff details are never exposed to patients. The qualified staff list is used exclusively by the SmartScheduling engine to determine availability and assignment. Patients only see the service name and available time slots.
  • To remove a staff member, open the Qualified Staff section and click the remove button next to their name.
