Book an Appointment for a Lead
Schedule a consultation appointment for a prospective patient (lead) who has not yet been converted to a full patient record.
Prerequisites
- Staff account with appointment create permission
- The lead must exist in the system and belong to your clinic
Steps
- Navigate to Appointments from the main navigation menu (or initiate booking from the lead’s profile page).
- Click Book (or New Appointment) to open the booking form.
- Select Lead as the appointment recipient and choose the lead from the list.
- Select the Service to be performed.
- Choose a date — the calendar shows available dates based on clinic working hours and staff availability.
- Choose an available time slot from the displayed options.
- Click Confirm to finalize the booking.
Notes
- The appointment is created with status SCHEDULED and stores the
leadIdon the record. - An email notification is sent to the lead’s email address confirming the booking.
- When the lead is later converted to a patient, the
patientIdis automatically updated on all active appointments (SCHEDULEDorCONFIRMED) for that lead. TheleadIdremains for reference. - The SmartScheduling engine assigns a qualified staff member automatically.
- Booking from the lead profile page pre-populates the lead’s name and contact details.
